I purchased this for my grandson, so he can work on his soccer skills.The device is made from solid polyethylene plastic, so its 100% waterproof. The physical size is 16″ H x 36″W. In terms of weight, without the 2 sandbags used for ballast, it weighs 23 pounds.It uses 2 foldable arms attached to the back using 4 heavy metal brackets to support the board in the open position. The brackets Lock in the out position and have spring loaded releases. You flip the rebounder top to bottom to change the board orientation from a flat/vertical surface to an angled surface. The design is smart with very little chance of collapse. In fact, we used it without the sandbags and the combination of the weight and support arms was enough to keep it in place.The device is on the small side especially for youngsters. So, to reliably hit the board they need to stand fairly close. But this will change as there kicking accuracy improves – due to the use of the rebounder. Even so, I would suggest putting it in front of something, so you don’t spend your time chasing after the balls that miss. A small size goal/net would be a good start. They could also practice missing the board but scoring a goal.Also, for small children, lacking kicking power, the angled option doesn’t work so well. The ball pops up only a couple of feet and drops to the ground right in front of the rebounder. Again, this will change as they practice more and they develop a more powerful kick.And don’t forget not only are they practicing kicking they are also learning to field the returned balls.This device is built like a tank and the solid build and weight is necessary to create a strong rebound. It folds up relatively flat so, other than being heavy, it should store easily. May even the trunk of a car. And unlike Plywood or fiberboard based equivalents, impacts to the edges or flat surfaces will not result in splits, delamination’s, fractures or damage – maybe just some dents.This is a great device that lives up to the descriptions and images on the webpage I would suggest watching the video which is a good overall demonstration. We’re very happy with what we received. And It’s something your child will not outgrow. The device is not inexpensive, but it should last and it is a great device for practicing skills.
